The specialty of India is that the likes, preferences, and culture changes every few miles. This is the reason diversity exists in our country. The printing styles on saris, the food, the culture, language and the superstitions all vary just within a few miles. This creates a need for different kinds of products across the nation.
Vocational education is education provided for the purpose of employment. It makes an individual skilled in one particular skill in which he is able to earn his bread & butter sufficiently. As a majority of our population resides in the rural India and is gradually migrating in search of employment, it is essential that vocation education is available for them.
However, it can be seen that vocational centers are shutting down across the country, due to westernization and mass production yielding cheaper affordable goods. This is destroying our ethnic industries at an alarming rate. So we hold the responsibility and ownership when it comes to the advancement of our nation.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is supporting these industries through his campaign, ‘Make in India’. Xplora Design Skool is one of the institutes which is supporting this campaign which was launched in 2014.
